As Deputy CEO I oversee all Strategy in the business and work with the COO to oversee all operations from Customer Service through to the Distribution Centre. I formulate Booktopia's vision and strategy across all areas of the business and sit on Booktopia's Board. In my time at Booktopia I have personally built Booktopia's website and designed and developed our custom built Warehouse Management System which integrates into our fully automated Distribution Centre. I have also specified, designed and managed the implementation of our custom built Customer, Order and Content Management System. I also lead the design and implementation of the Booktopia mobile site which won the 2016 ORIA award for best Mobile Commerce Site. I was recently a finalist for the Online Retail Industry Recognition Award, named as one of Inside Retail’s Top 50 People in E-Commerce for 2016 and in was finalist for the BRW’s Best Rising Star Award. I am also an advisor to a number of tech and online companies and am a Non-Executive Director for Car Next Door.
I work across the Australian startup ecosystem, as the Chair of the Board of StartupAus, a mentor and investor with Startmate Accelerator, and a strategic advisor to a number of early and growth stage startups. Over my career, I’ve worked for and advised some of the most category leading and category killing companies across Australia and the US. I was recently an innovation expert at Inventium and prior to this the founding Managing Director of Eventbrite Australia, where I built and lead the team to grow the Australian market of event organisers and passionate event attendees. Before coming to Australia, I worked at Bain & Company in Silicon Valley advising the world's largest FMCG, technology, consumer products and retail businesses about international growth, customer experience / loyalty and organisational effectiveness strategies. I’m passionate about helping businesses scale and increase their impact through ‘wow' customer experiences, new market entry and product development.

I love marketing. I’ve found my passion; and that is, developing and launching global brands. Having worked in a large multinational for much of my career, I felt it was time to take all that I had learned over the years in my various roles (from field sales, to sales management, to marketing and then senior regional brand management) and apply it to something I could create from scratch and bring to life – something I was truly passionate about.
