We sell a packet of Moxie product every thirty seconds. Curious yet? With the crazy idea to put tampons in recyclable tins so that they would stop rolling around in my handbag, my business partner and I took on a stagnant, mature FMCG category dominated by large multi-nationals, and launched a true makret disruptor. For the last (almost!) 14 years, I’ve seen our Moxie brand of women’s personal care through every step of its life cycle, from conceptualisation right through to commercialisation and have sunk my teeth into anything from packaging and product design, to ad campaign development to customer relationship management with some of the world’s biggest retailers. I understand every element of what it takes to not only bring a brand to life, but to insulate it from tough competition and secure it for future business growth and success. Moxie products have sold millions upon millions of products in various markets around the world; I’ve made a heap of bad decisions and mistakes, but just as many good ones, too. I’ve done it for myself and I can help you do it, too (the good stuff, that is!). Contact me if you’re keen to learn more about: - How to get started (How do you know if it’s a good idea or not? Where do you get help?) - What it takes to build a brand from scratch - How to launch your product into major retail or online - Brand strategy - Marketing strategy (I’m a Marketer by trade!) - Entrepreneurship - New product development - Exporting, operations and logistics - Corporate Social Responsibility - Leadership - Life/work balance Some other cool stuff I’ve done/do that might be of help... - Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year 2014, VIC - Westpac/AFR ‘100 Women of Influence’ 2014 - Entrepreneur’s Organisation Board member 2015 – 2018 (inclusive) - Co-founder and champion of the ‘Pads for Pads’ initiative - RMIT Student Mentor - Regular public speaker

In 1994 I developed Aromababy, the world’s first baby skincare brand combining the use of natural and organic ingredients with neonatal research. The launch of Aromababy created a new category in the Australian retail space. Aromababy is now sold online including with Adore Beauty and in hundreds of stores across Asia Pacific, including Mothercare Asia and Watsons Pharmacy China. Aromababy is also used in select hospitals and resorts. We are the only Australian natural baby skincare brand with registered products in China - essential to sell in retail stores there. I often present at events in relation to accomplishing business in the Asia region. I regularly travel to Hong Kong, Singapore and China providing mother and baby wellness workshops to health professionals and consumers. I have over 20 years experience in product development, exporting and building an award-winning brand. I hold a Diploma in Aromatherapy and am a trained Infant Massage Instructor.
I am the founder of The Smoothie Bombs, a smoothie booster range that is vegan, certified organic, palm oil free and gluten free. I went from being a single parent on welfare to building a million dollar business from a simple home recipe. I bootstrapped through Smoothie Bomb's inception by being resourceful and determined on a coin purse budget. In 2007, I returned to study in my 40's to become a clinical nutritionist. In the process I discovered there was a need in the market for my home made smoothie boosters. As a mum, I believe in changing bad habits by making good choices easier. The Smoothie Bombs evolved after my fussy eating daughter stopped eating breakfast. My solution was to providing the right combination of healthy ingredients in a convenient and easy to use way. My products have gone from being hand made in my home kitchen to upscaling the production to hit manufacturing MOQs. I am stocked in over 800 stores around Australia including including Chemist Warehouse. I have stockists in UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Korea. International expansion is currently in progress. My expertise is in: • Bootstrapping a Start up • Branding • Social media • Food product development • Food regulations and council requirements • Organic certification guidelines • Finding and dealing with manufacturers • Distributor agreements • Negotiating with major retailers • Exporting processes Business life is always busy and certain times of the year may be more hectic than others for chats. I have set aside some allocated time for Thursday and Friday afternoons for appointments.
I started Over the Moo about 2 years ago, when I saw a gap in the market for a reasonably priced and delicious vegan ice cream. Being lactose intolerant myself, I was sick of not having an ice cream option - so I decided to develop one myself. At first, I sold the ice creams door-to-door to independent IGAs, even allowing it to be stocked on consignment. Before long, word got around and it started flying off the shelves. We now have nine flavours and sell to 350 independent grocers and 550 Woolworths stores across Australia. I'm interested in chatting to other entrepreneurs and providing advice about how to sell a category, not just a product; cold chain logistics; inventory management; and product development.
Food developer, FMCG wholesaler and marketer, and small business mentor - over the past 10 years I’ve grown Slim Secrets from a small, family-run FMCG business into a global brand with world-wide distribution and brand recognition. Sold online and stocked in major Australian retailers including Coles, Woolworths, Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, 7Eleven and IGA. We also export to 15 countries around the world, are stocked in over 4,000 outlets and recently signed a distribution deal for China. The thing I've loved most about building our brand is being innovative with our marketing on a smaller budget than some of our larger competitors and building great relationships. I’m a big believer in influencer marketing and we’ve recently signed an ambassador deal with current world number one tennis champion Angelique Kerber, as well as Avril Lavigne targeted for the China market. Slim Secrets has a range of 21 healthy snacks including protein bars, cookies, low carb fit balls, RTD protein indulgence shakes, and a Protein Puds with chia dessert range. Each product is carefully developed to include the right balance of fats, carbohydrates, protein and fibre without compromising on taste, as well as ensuring they meet food regulations for our export markets. Whether you have an idea and need some guidance on where to start, or are a more established business looking for growth, I'm more than happy to chat and provide you with advice. Looking forward to hearing about your business.
Funtrepreneur, Speaker, Foodie, and Lawyer. My partner and I started Matcha Maiden when we fell in love with matcha during a traditional tea ceremony in Japan. After returning to Australia, we realised there was a gap in the market for an affordable, accessible, easy to use matcha product and decided to develop one ourselves. At first we launched Matcha Maiden as a hobby, but it quickly took off and we now have stockists across Australia, UK, Hong Kong and the US. Last year we opened Australia's first specialty matcha cafe, Matcha Mylkbar in Melbourne, showcasing this vibrant green superfood as well as a world leading, innovative plant-based breakfast and lunch menu. As well as Matcha Maiden and Matcha Mylkbar, I also run a successful blog and instagram account Spoonful of Sarah, as well as enjoying a daily yoga and meditation practice. Life is busy, but I would love to provide advice to you where I can.

I love marketing. I’ve found my passion; and that is, developing and launching global brands. Having worked in a large multinational for much of my career, I felt it was time to take all that I had learned over the years in my various roles (from field sales, to sales management, to marketing and then senior regional brand management) and apply it to something I could create from scratch and bring to life – something I was truly passionate about. I was excited by the freedom to be able to innovate, create and ultimately control the outcome of my work. That’s how ‘Moxie’ came to be. Despite my previous experience, going out and starting fresh was incredibly challenging, but I’ve learned so much along the way and have continued to develop my skills, particularly in FMCG. I’m really proud of what we’ve created and proud to say that Moxie has become a global brand, having launched in the UAE, throughout Europe, and more recently in China and the US. Moxie is a stylish and feminine offering in what has previously been deemed an embarrassing and anything but stylish category. Our range includes tampons, pads and liners complete in discreet and unique purse-worthy tin packs that are reusable and 100% recyclable.
